Tyber is a difficult act to follow (can any live man actually compete?) I loved this book! It is sexy, funny, tender, also exasperating sometimes with our heroine (she needs to wake up to how special our wonderful hero is). I eagerly await more from this author. (L.J., 12-29-96) Hilarious at first, the humor in this book then petered off into tiresome puns and innuendos that made an otherwise interesting hero seem rather childish. The investigative-reporter adventure aspect of the plot was also a minus, for it seemed highly implausible that the successful con-artist villain would himself be so gullible (also, this aspect of the book wasted a good opportunity for satire). The book did not really hold my interest, but as contemporaries go, it was still a cut above so many others I've read. (E.P., 11-18-96) The next book is Rejar due out in February, 1997.
