Reader comments:
DANGEROUS JOY continues the Rogue books and I enjoyed it enough to keep trying to find the others. Miles Cavanagh was a fine hero but I was rather disappointed that he didn't pick up on the fact that Kieran was Felicity's child sooner. Once the story leaves Ireland and gets to the Shires (and the rest of Rogues) I was intrigued with Beth, her husband and all the Rogue characters. Felicity's indecision about sexual relations with Miles was silly but I felt her determination to get back her child was courageous given the Regency period the story was set in and how women had very few options concerning their futures or their children. However, the romance is the thing and I enjoyed the main characters' relationship. Jo Beverley always has a new twist or two that keeps her stories interesing, I appreciate that most of all. (K.G., 1-15-97) I have always enjoyed Ms. Beverly's books, though I will admit Christmas Angel is my favorite. I liked this book, and enjoyed the cats. (K.E., 9-7-96) Never read her before. Won't waste my money again. Didn't even finish it... (N.R., 6-6-96) Very disappointing; however, Beverley's other recent book, medieval-set Shattered Rose, isn't bad. I think she worked more on that one and not much on this! (E.P., 5-21-96) I enjoyed this book very much. I have never been disapointed by Jo Beverly and this was no exception. (J.V., 3-31-96) I really enjoyed this book; the characters were vivid and the story really kept my interest. I'll look for others by Jo Beverley! (S.R., 3-19-96) The book began wonderfully, with good character descriptions and action. However, it really petered out toward the end. I ended up not finishing it as it got weaker and weaker. I felt that the author was bored by her characters about 2/3 of the way through the book, which is a shame. They are wonderful characters. (L.R., 12-22-95) Jo's Rogues are among the finest heroes in romantic fiction and Miles does not disappoint! (J.S., 12-20-95)
