Reader comments:
Mary Balogh is one of my favorite regency authors. (R.M., 4-22-97) Entertaining quick read. Typical of Balogh's works. (D.C., 5-20-96) Pretty good Regency. Balogh, though uneven, has some of the best romances I've read--you ought to add them to your ratable list. I was especially impressed with Longing, a historical from Topaz with lots of information about Wales. Heartless, recent one from Berkley Books, was also a good historical; both are in print and I give them a top rating. Of Balogh's Regencies, I esp. liked Dancing with Clara and Snow Angel; The Notorious Rake and The Precious Jewel were also pretty good, as was her historical The Secret Pearl. She also has a few really bad books, some of which are being reissued 1996! (E.P., 5-19-96) Balogh can make the most sordid plots sweet and cheerful. (C.D., 2-20-96) I enjoy reading this author. She writes a good book. (M.G.T., 12-25-95)
