Next to Getting Rid of Bradley, this is my favorite. (L.P., 3-15-98)
Crusie is wickedly funny and wise, though I don't find her books all that ROMANTIC. Of all I've read, this is probably my favorite. (E.P., 2-7-98)
I LOVED This book!!! One of the funniest I have read in a long time! (A.C., 3-26-97)
As good or better than I was lead to believe. Great characters, good
plot, wonderful humor and just loved the 'dead dog' routine. (Y.P., 3-23-97)
I love Jennifer Cruisie's books. As soon as I see a book written by her I don't even bother to read the back I just grab it and run to the checkout. Then I rush home to read it!!!!! (J.G., 11-18-96)
Hilarious, as usual! (V.T., 11-7-96)
Won the RITA for Short Contemporary in '95. (V.T., 7-29-96)
I'm a hard sell when it comes to comedy, but Jennifer Crusie makes me laugh
every time. Getting Rid of Bradley is one of her best. I suspect the phrase
"dead dog" has now become a code phrase that will get Crusie fans grinning
every time they hear it. A truly funny read--I recommend it highly!

This book was so entertaining, I couldn't put it down! (C.G., 6-5-96)
Has to be the funniest of Crusie's books, with a timid heroine who learns to be bold, and a high-strung cop who learns to love and commit. A very sensual read--their attraction to each other evolved into a five-alarm inferno. Absolutely hilarious, from the heroine's attempt to change her image (who knew she'd end up with green hair?), to the wonderful secondary, canine characters ("Dead dog!"), to Zack's losing battle with his attraction to Lucy. Wonderful book from start to finish. (D.N., 5-12-96)
