- I know Francis. She's a registered nurse in Dallas! She would so much appreciate everyone who truly appreciated the book. As for the list of books, so far there are only five as of now, but her last one The Bargain was pretty nifty so, you should try that one! Thanks for loving Francis! (J.R., 10-17-96)
I have read Forever Yours FOUR times! I LOVE THIS BOOK! Actually I
love KANE. As an African-American woman who has a passion for the
West, rodeo and country music I can't tell you how much I ejoyed
reading this book. My book club has review this book and loved it!!
(We also read Only Hers, but the reviews were mixed--we just didn't feel
the same compassion for Matt the way we did for Kane.)
We are trying to figure our how to get Suzanne dePasse (African-American
producer of Lonesome Dove) to read this book and bring it TV as a movie
of the week! I hope this is something you are working on. If you are,
let me know how we can help. We need to see strong but sensative Black
men on the screen!! We all rushed out to see "Waiting to Exhale," now
lets give Black love yet another face. If we don't do it NOBODY else
will, and we know that by what's been on the screen so far. I could
go on and on, let me end by saying thank you. Thank you for showing
people another side to African-Americans. For introducing people to
Black rodeo, and to characters with the heart of Charlie Sampson
(champion bull rider), and Fred Whitfield ( champion calf roper).
The African-American western enthusiast really does exit!
Even as far north as Minnesota! P.S. I hope we haven't heard the last
of the Taggart family. Addy would be perfect match for Matt's
best friend! (G.W., 10-16-96)
I've just started reading the African-American romance books and I have enjoyed them very much. Is there any way to get a list of any other books by Francis Ray? (J.C., 9-12-96)
