Welcome! My name is Scott Moura and I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Cymer Center for Control Systems and Dynamics,
at the University of California, San Diego. I am currently performing research under the direction of
Professor Miroslav Krstic. My PhD advisors were Professor Jeffrey Stein
and Professor Hosam Fathy (now at Penn State).
My research interests include optimal control, dynamic system modeling, sustainable and alternative energy storage/conversion systems, advanced battery systems, vehicle electrification, and vehicle-to-grid application. My current work involves optimal control and estimation of battery-powered systems for enhancing health - at the battery-pack, vehicle, and vehicle-to-grid levels.
