Inside The Numbers

Games Played

The total number of games played.

Bonus

Ahhh...the Bonus. This statistic totals up all of the Bonuses earned across all the games played. This includes Bonuses earned by crossing 1000 points, Bonuses earned by rolling three Zonks, and Bonuses earned from special rules. Bonuse s are the most important part of the game: the HIGHER the Bonus count the better off the player is.

Zonks

The name of the game! This statistic totals all of the non-scoring rolls made by our contestants. The Zonk can be your best friend or your worst enemy! For example...what would happen if you had two Zonks and on your next turn rolled a 6-Die Zonk? If you don't know, ask Cap'n Jack !

Rolls

This statistic keeps track of how many times the player rolled the bones!

Points

Some might say that this is the most important factor of the game...they'd be wrong! Points serve as a way to measure the progress of each player against each other. It also determines when the game is over for a given player. If the ga me is to 10,000 points, then when each player crosses the 10,000 point level, the game is over. Reaching the agreed end point of the game will earn the player an extra Bonus. Reaching the agreed end point first will usually indicate more Bonuses per Rol l, but fewer Bonuses per Game!

Points Per Roll

This tends to serve as a "batting average" for the player. The statistic tells how many points the player can expect to earn on given roll. Since the player needs 1,000 points to earn a Bonus, this statistic will enable the player to det ermine how many rolls, on average, it will take to get that sweet, sweet Bonus!

Points Per Game

Some games go to 10,000 points; some go to 5,000 points; still others go to 20,000 or even 50,000 points. Since all players do not participate in all games, this statistic was created to find out the average length of the games that the i ndividual players compete in.

Bonuses Per Game

The true measure of a players ability. Since each player will earn a Bonus every 1,000 points, every player in a game to 10,000 points will get 10 Bonuses. Some players will earn more! A Champ will earn a Bonus for each turn in their ga me, which usually means they'll earn two Bonuses every 1,000 points. Earning 20 Bonuses for a 10,000 Point game in 20 Turns (or less) is considered outstanding! Most experienced players will accept nothing less than these results.

Scoring Rate

This statistic represents the percent of scoring rolls the player can expect to have during a given game. Higher numbers here generally mean that the player will play a "safe" game. This player will score more often, zonk less, and get f ewer extra Bonuses. Lower numbers here indicate the player who plays a "risky" game. This player will score less often, but will score higher when a score is made; thus earning more extra Bonuses. The "risky" player will Zonk more often. Keep in mind that these are dice and subject to the randomness in the universe, and the karma of the players; therefore, any generalizations on our part are purely from our own experiences and should not be taken as trends. Some restrictions may apply. Void where pr ohibited. Some assembly required. Wash colors seperately....

Zonk Bonus Earned

If a player Zonks three times, they will earn a Bonus. This statistic counts all the Zonks and tallies all the Bonuses the player received as a result.

Zonk Bonus Percent

Sometimes you get a Bonus for earning points, and sometimes you get a Bonus for getting Zonked. This statistic will tell you what percent of a players Bonuses come from getting Zonked. Although aren't we all a little zonked anyway?
