I am a PhD candidate in the EECS Department
of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. My
primary research interest is in Natural Language Processing, especially in subtopics like text
summarization, information retrieval and question answering. My research advisor is Professor
Dragomir Radev. I am a member of the
CLAIR (Computational Linguistics
And Information Retrieval) Group at Umich.
I recently worked at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center on two-way adaptation for robust input interpretation. Some of my previous work for the same group in this IBM Hawthorne office was on Knowledge Representation. |

I was awarded a master's degree in April 2004 from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
In May 2002, I received my bachelor's degree from the
University of Arizona, double majoring in
Computer Science and Mathematics. Before
joining "the Wildcats", I spent 18 years in Shanghai,
China. I came to the States upon
graduation from Shanghai Foreign Language School Affiliated
to Shanghai International Studies University.
