Directions from airport to Economics Department:

If a car is not reserved, take a Checker Sedan (walkup service).
Tell the driver to take you to Ann Arbor via US-23 and Washtenaw
Avenue.  The driver should know the directions, but here they are in
any case.  Travel time:  30 minutes

      I-94 West to US-23.

      Take US-23 northbound.

      Exit at Ann Arbor/Washtenaw Avenue 
      (Exit 37B, second of the first pair of exits north of I-94) 
      
      Follow Washtenaw Avenue, the main commercial strip, for
      several miles.  You will pass an Arby's on the right. 
      Approximately 1/4 miles beyond Arby's, the road forks.  

      Take right fork (still Washtenaw Avenue).

Here are the directions to the department once on Washtenaw.

      Continue on Washtenaw--about two miles.  

      At the third stoplight after the fork, turn left onto Hill Street. 

      Take a right on Tappan (about five blocks).  The economics
      department (Lorch Hall) is one block down the street on the
      right.
