NOTE how the South Atlantic (Delaware through Florida) is forecast to have the largest population increase due to net migration (3,790,000 + 6,707,000 = 10,497,000 net migrants). The Pacific region will receive far more net international migrants (9,553,000), but this will be counterbalanced by a loss of 2,848,000 net migrants to other states. The Middle Atlantic (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania) will continue its historical role as a gateway for international immigrants into the U.S., but the region will lose even more people due to net outmigration to other states. The East North Central (which includes Michigan) will lose the most people due to net outmigration in this 30-year period.
