Spring 2006 'A Dirty Job' Tour Memory Book

This is a stop-by-stop collection of photos and commentary from the Spring 2006 book tour promoting the hardback of Christopher Moore's book A Dirty Job. Many of his fans and friends from the Fruitbat Boardello made a point of gathering at the various stops. Lots of pictures were taken, lots of banter exchanged.

Since the gallery seemed to go over so well, I started gathering together the actual tour photos and comments as a set of per-stop memory pages. And boy, has it taken off.

As of this writing there are nearly 20 stops documented with over 150 photos and what seems like reams of commentary - and the last three stops haven't happened yet. Many many thanks to all those who contributed pictures and text - it was a pleasure being able to dwell over the photos and read everyone's contributions in detail.

This started as a thank-you to Chris for providing so many fun reading moments, but it's become more than that. Folks have sent so kind notes, so many photos to choose from, and just generally been so helpful and co-operative that it's been a labor to love to do this for all of you. I had a huge fun time at the Detroit gathering, and am damned glad to have such a fine record of it. Here's hoping you all did the same at your respective stops, and that we can do it again sometime soon.

Well, not too soon. After Chris gets rested up and produces another book and all that sort of thing. We wouldn't want to wear him out, you know.

Share and enjoy!

Best,

The Tour Gallery

This whole thing kicked off when Chris posted a request that folks who'd be attending put their pictures up on the Fruitbat Boardello so he'd be able to recognize them on tour. This quickly got unweildy because the photos weren't organized in any useful way. I started grabbing them and sorting them by stop so Chris would have an easier time of preparing for each stop. That original stop-by-stop gallery can be seen here.
