Conducting research on ecological indicators, program evaluation and adaptive management, and national trends in ecosystem management. Advisor: Dr. Steven L. Yaffee. (2003 – present)

Doctoral Research, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, University of Michigan. Hummingbird pollination and lforal evolution of introduced Nicotiana glauca and native Epilobium canum: California island-mainland comparisons. Advisor: Dr. Beverly J. Rathcke. Research site organizations: Santa Catalina Conservancy, Channel Islands National Park, Santa Cruz Island UC Reserve, Starr Ranch Audubon Sanctuary, and Sedgwick UC Reserve (1997-2002).

Ecological Restoration Intern, Catalina Island Conservancy. Initiated RESMAP: a GIS map of the rare and ecologically sensitive plants of Santa Catalina Island using Trimble GPS unit and Pathfinder and Arcview software. (1999)
