Description: The challenging process of shade selection is now compounded by visual versus instrumental concerns.  Given that the clinical process is primarily visual, concise understanding of factors involved is necessary and reasonably simple.  Understanding combinations of human perception and instrumental theoretical science facilitates the accuracy of the process
