†    Mean score ±standard deviation, n =6.  Values in the same column with the same superscript letter are not statistically different, while those with different superscript letters are different at p<0.05 based on ANOVA.

Results:  There was statistically significant change when looking at ΔE after only 40 minutes (20 treatments x 2 minutes) of contact time with the Luster Premium White vs. 80 minutes (4 treatments x 20 minutes) of contact time with Rembrandt 2 Hour and 120 minutes (4 treatments x 30 minutes) with Crest Advanced 2 Hour.  The overall change in stain was calculated using the CIELAB equation ΔE=[(ΔL*)2+(Δa*)2+(Δb*)2]1/2

Conclusions:   In this In-Vitro evaluation, Luster Power White significantly increased overall whitening (ΔE) compared to Rembrandt® 2 Hr Whitening and Crest 3D White Whitestrips® - Advanced Seal®, with  1/3 to 1/2 the contact time.
