Neighborhood Watch/All Bromley Cookout to be held in Bromley Park
     Jo-Ann Socha, our energetic and efficient Neighborhood Watch Head,
has generously
volunteered to organize a neighborhood cookout to say goodbye to summer
and hello to your
neighbors--from original homeowners to those who just moved in!
Neighborhood unity has many
benefits, not the least of which is to promote the interests of crime
prevention.  Get to know your
neighbors; knowledge is safety. We have a nice, safe
neighborhood--let's work together to keep
it that way!!
     Make the cookout a family affair.  There will be free hot dogs;
charcoal grills will be brought in
and supervised by some of the Neighborhood Watch Block Captains; and,
table settings will be
provided. Come meet block captains, meet a Police officer who will
answer questions on crime
prevention and drug abuse, and meet the surprise guest, Homer! There
will be games of all
sorts. Gifts have been donated for food from the Bromley Homeowners
Association and from
Kroger.
     Let's make this a really big turnout; there are 231 homes in
Bromley.  We hope that guests
will also bring a dish to pass--to orchestrate the distribution, Jo-Ann
has suggested the following
general breakdown, by street, in order to have sufficient variety in the
way of main dishes,
salads, desserts, and soft drinks.
     Aurora--dessert; Briarcliff--main dish; Burlington--dessert;
Nixon--main dish; Prairie--salad;
Renfrew--soft drinks; Sheffield--salad.
Please mark this date on your calendar and join BHA and Neighborhood
Watch!!  Support
neighborhood unity.

Thank You Note from Orchard Hills Pool Board to Dolfins Pool Board.
     "Thanks so much for letting us use your pool and board for our dive
practices this year.  We
heard rave reviews all season about our new dive locale. We are
particularly grateful for the
safer conditions since your pool is deeper, and the divers had far fewer
problems with the
springboards they encountered in competition. Parents enjoyed the peace
and quiet away from
group lessons and sync swim practice. We hope the experience was also
positive for you.  Let
us know if you encountered any problems. Thanks again"
