BHA NEWSLETTER--December, 1995.

KROGER FUNDRAISER A ROUSING SUCCESS! HOP ON THE BANDWAGON!
The Kroger fundraiser to support Dolfins Pool is working
remarkably well. In
the new year, consider using Kroger certificates when you shop at Kroger's.
Remember--it costs you nothing to support your favorite non-profit
organization(s)--
Dolfins, Thurston School--using these certificates. Certificate
denomination is $20.
When you spend your Kroger certificates (cash back for difference between
purchase
and coupon amount) the non-profit organization receives 5% of your
spendings from
Kroger's. Let Kroger help support our neighborhood; when you shop at
Kroger's use
Kroger certificates. For Dolfin's Pool, contact Sally Vandeven
(996-0652)--a Dolfin's
representative will deliver them to your door in exchange for your check.
For Thurston
School, purchase them at Thurston School.

IDEAS/COMMENTS FROM BROMLEY RESIDENTS
1. Mary Ann Gasiorek once again offered to run an all-Bromley garage
sale this
spring; if you are even remotely considering a garage sale at any time
this year, you
might want to consider holding it then. You run your own sale and keep
all the profits;
the advantage comes in having numerous simultaneous individual
sales--people come
from all over the city because they can go to many sales without walking
very far
between sales. This event is publicized in advance in the Ann Arbor
News. Watch the
BHA Newsletter for more details.

2. Sharon Mudd expressed interest in some sort of networking opportunity
for new
mothers with very young children. Phone number: 995-0926.

OUTSIDE BROMLEY
If you are new (or not) to Ann Arbor, and are interested not only in
what is
happening within Bromley, but also are interested in affairs within the
city of Ann
Arbor as a whole, you might want to watch City Council meetings on
Channel 10,
many Monday evenings, or Planning Commission meetings on Channel 10, many
Tuesday evenings. Get to know who your representatives are in City
Council; learn
what sorts of planning issues are currently being dealt with; and
generally, take
advantage of this fine opportunity to learn more about your city.
