This project attempts to draw together geographic information concerning surface geology, soils, hydrography, topography, and landcover with information concerning archaeological sites dating between 1100 and 1450 AD in northeastern Kansas and the lower Missouri River valley at large.
This project attempts to compile geospatial information in a single, easy access resource to aid in 1. simple retrieval of archival and bibliographic information, 2. performing settlement analysis and spatial analysis at large scales, and 3. developing predictive models for archaeological survey.
