This is the web page about my Grandparents on my mother's side.  My Grandparents were both born in Detroit and have remained living in the area for their whole lives. My Grandma was born on September 14, 1921 and my Grandpa was born on May 13, 1920. Currently they live in Plymouth, Mi.  My Grandma loves to play cards, especially Canasta, while my Grandfather is interested in computers, CB radios, and planes.  My favorite story about them is how they met.  My Grandmother's father had died as had my Grandpa's mother.  The remaining 2 parents began to date and introduced my Grandparents, who immediately fell in love.  Because of this, their parents stopped dating each other.  Soon after they met each other my Grandpa went off to World War II.  During his 3 year participation in the war, my Grandpa wrote my Grandma daily letters and sent her money from his checks.  From his base in Hawaii, he sent my Grandmother an engagement ring and asked her to marry him.  She agreed and waited for him until the war was over. They have now been married over 50 years and it is very obvious that they are still in love.
