L.  Mawby Vineyards:  4519 Elm Valley Road, Suttons Bay.  616-271-3522 
Mawby has been growing grapes on his twelve acres since 1973.  Art gallery/tasting room open Thursday-Saturday, May through October, 1-6 p.m., or by appointment any other time.  Go eight miles north from Traverse City on M-22; turn left on Hilltop Road and follow it to a dead end at Elm Valley.  turn right; the winery is a half mile on the right. 
Leelanau Wine Cellars:  12693 E. Tatch Road, Omena.  616-386-5201  Thirty-five acre vineyard established in 1975 overlooks Omena Bay.  Tasting room open seven days a week year round; 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily, Sunday noon-6 p.m.  Reduced hours in the off season, Tours every hour on the hour during the height  of the season.  gift shop on premises with wine-related and locally produced food items.  Take M-22 north from Suttons Bay six miles to Omena.  Turn left on C-626 and go one-fourth mile to winery. 
Good Harbor Vineyards and Winery:  34 S.  Manitou Trail (M-22), Leland, 616-256-7165.  
This 65-acre winery opened in 1980.  Winery tours and tastings take place June through August, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily; Sunday noon -6 p.m.  The same schedule holds for September and October except for 5 p.m. closing.  After October, the winery is open Saturdays through Christmas, noon - 5 p.m.  Gift shop within winery; farm market adjacent.  On M-22, three miles south of Leland and 1.5 miles south of M-204. 
 Boskeydel Vineyards:  7501 e.  Otto Road, Lake Leelanau, 616-256-7272. 
The 25-acre vineyard overlooking south Lake Leelanau was established in 1971; winery built in 1975.  Tastings 1-6 p.m. daily, all year except Christmas, Easter, New Years, and Thanksgiving days).  From M-204, in Lake Leelanau head south on C-641 (Lake Leelanau drive); for 3.5 miles and turn left on Otto Road.
