-1921 August-------13 - Sept. 2 Battle of the Sarkarya by which the Turkish Nationalist Army repulses the Greek Army's advance on Ankara.

-1922 September----8: Turkish Nationalist Army occupies Smyrna/Izmir pursuing the retreating Greek Army

-1922 October-----11: Armistice of Mudanya between the Nationalist Turks and the British and Greeks.

-1923 July----------24:Winston Churchill  Treaty of Lausanne signed.  Also Lausanne Convention of the Straits signed July 24th
