SI 540 Introduction to Networked Computing

Fall 2006; Prof. Sami

Placeout Exam Information

SI540 is a required course for IEMP students. Some students, especially those who have a computer science background, may find that this course contains a lot of material that they already know. If you are an IEMP student and you want to place out of the SI540 requirement, you will have to take the place out exam. If you place out, you will still need to take 15 credits that count towards IEMP, but you do not need to take SI540.

The best way to determine if you need to take this course is to look through the syllabus. The lecture slides and readings from last year (course taught by Prof. Resnick) are also available here, and will be helpful both in determining whether to placeout and in preparing for the exam.

If you want to take the placeout exam, please email the instructor (rsami AT umich DOT edu)
