About myself

 



I am a recent receipient of a Ph.D. in Architecture (August 1997) from the College of Architecture & Urban Planning, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U.S.A.

I am now a Senior Lecturer in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I teach Environmental Technology for the undergraduate students in Architecture (B.Sc. [Built Environment]) and a segment on Environmental Planning for the graduate students in Architecture (M.Sc. [Architecture]). I also team teach a design studio.

I also offer a unit on "Advanced Climate-sensitive Design for the Tropics." This course utilizes building energy simulation.software to explore energy and thermal comfort implications of architectural and urban design decisions. Contact me at rohinton@mail.ac.lk for further details
