Does it work? Maybe. If you are still getting big line numbers, here is what to do: Make a new template. (File-New-Templates on my computer and then choose create new TEMPLATE.) The template document will have the suffix .dot not .doc T not C. Change the font of the new template to the point size you desire. I chose 8 point here. Then on the Format-Font menu page, click the button at the lower left that says Default Now the default font will be whatever you set it as, for any documents based on that template. If you want the text on the page to be other than the default font, just highlight it and change its font. Or anyway, thats the theory. Mr. Gates often overrides your decisions in such matters. Thats what I did to get the text in the column to be 10 point. I know that if Im not careful, though, the text could suddenly become 8 point again. To use this page for your documents, delete all the text except two letters, and cut and paste the material you want to be in two-column, line-numbered, 10-point type BETWEEN the two letters. Then try to delete the letters without having the formatting change. Good luck.
