Electro-Shockwave Propulsion

This experiment uses high voltage and is also Dangerous. This is a picture of a small mock spaceship propelled by a high voltage shockwave (Electro-Gravity?) from a spark gap on the underside of the ship. In the picture I'm using a plastic pen to hold the ship down so it does not fly out of control. I used a neon sign transformer to repetitively charge a low-loss transmitting cap. The spark gap breaks down several times a second. (gap width ~2-3 cm). The ship itself is made from a piece of plastic tubing cut in half, with the rounded portion pointing up. (the spark gap being in the concave portion.) Dimensions are ~.5 cm wide by ~3 cm long. I can't run this one for too long or the ship will get really hot and start to melt. Also don't forget you hearing protection, this experiment is LOUD!
