|
Project Summary This study assess whether the dissemination of information that circumcision reduces the probability of HIV transmission affects (i) the demand for circumcision among uncircumcised men and (ii) the demand for safe sex among both uncircumcised and already circumcised men. A baseline study was conducted in 2008 among approximately 1,500 men in which villages were randomly allocated information that circumcision is protective against HIV transmission. This project is joint with Alister Munthali (Centre for Social Research, University of Malawi) and Susan Godlonton (University of Michigan). We are grateful for funding from the Michigan Center for Demography of Aging (MiCDA). Documentation and Data
