Present interests

• Hybrid Systems: My interest in this area is in safety control in hybrid systems. The algorithms developed are tested on an in-scale test bed. More information on my research and some video demonstrations can be found here.

Past interests

• Scaling of Dynamic systems : This work was related to scaling of vehicle dynamics of a Hummer vehicle and implement the scaled dynamics on an in-scale vehicle. We use these in-scale vehicles to test autonomous or semi-autonomous cooperative active safety systems in Multi-agent decision and control lab.
• Simulation and Modeling : Matlab, Simulink, AVL Cruise, AVL Boost, C, C++.
• Automotive : Some of the areas I have worked on are Determination of Gear Shift rules for Automated manual transmission to optimize the fuel economy of heavy vehicle, Performance prediction of vehicles using simulation tools, Diagnostics, Engine parameter optimization.
• Signal Processing : Linear and Non linear filter design and optimization as applied to automotive sensor signal processin.
