Well, we did it! Twenty Acres and a
Mole's first burn , and here's the evidence. Thanks to everyone who came out to
help. John and Ami brought extra hose and
water buckets, which made the burn easier to manage.
John did a mighty fine job draggin' the
fire line along the east break. Linda had a grand time setting the fire
along the west break. Matthew, who traded a beautiful bike
riding day to work hard all morning to prep the site, did
find an opportunity to dance amoung the ashes of the north
break. Rob left a sick wife to drive out and
keep the blaze from jumpin' the breaks. Talk about
dedication! David Mindell, and co-worker Kathy, did
a great job managing this handful of novices. All in all, an excellent
blaze!
