HOW TO MAKE A PORTFOLIO • page 2

1. Measure and trim the two boards that will form the outside of the portfolio.
2. Tape the boards together, leaving about an inch of space between them
to accomodate the thickness of the artwork when yourt portfolio is closed (see illustration).
3. Trim the tape and punch or cut holes on three sides of each board (see illustration).
4. Thread string or laces through the holes to create portfolio "ties."
Secure the ties by knotting or taping them to the inside of the portfolio.
