Originally named Jean Giraud, Moebius is a French comic artist whose illustrating talents expanded through numerous mediums. He began his career illustrating a self-developed, wildly successful western series titled Lieutenant Blueberry along with partner with Jean- Michel Charlies. His artistic talents lay in his wildly imaginative and creative science-fiction works. He had worked on storyboards for classic science-fiction movies like Alien, Tron, and Dune.

Moebius has often been called the master of science-fiction after his release of ‘Arzach’, a wordless story he had published in an very influential French magazine in the 70’s known as Metal Hurlant. Beyond that, the classification of Moebius’ style has been difficult to determine because of his ever-evolving technique and multiple genres and mediums.
