About Me
My name is Ramses Eduardo Alcaide Aguirre I am a graduate of Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and I am ttending the University of Michigan for a Ph.D. in neuroscience. My main interest is combing the field of neuroscience with electrical engineering to develop intelligent prosthetic devices. My research work has spanned many fields including aerospace, forestry, energy, robotics and medical applications. Some of my honors include being a McNair, NASA Space Grant, Rackham Scholar, Ford Foundation, and National Science Foundation fellow.
Furthermore, I am highly involved with my community. I frequently work with recruitment and mentorship programs to promote higher education in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields for students of color. For more information and details please refer to my Curriculum Vitae.
