PixelMeasure

The PixelMeasure is a simple way of estimating the size in pixels of the usable screen displayed by NetScape (or any other browser that supports the "background" attribute of the "body" tag) on your machine. This is especially helpful if you do not know the screen resolution produced by your display adapter, and need to know how large images should be made in order to be comfortably accommodated.

For example, on my home machine, running NetScape under Windows 3.1, with NetScape maximized I see a usable display area of about 1020x550 pixels; with NetScape reduced to a more-usual half- screen view, I see a square window of about 550x550 pixels.
