passaunt adj. Pl. passaunt & passants, passans.[OF passant adj.]
     (a) Of things: transitory; of persons: transient, traveling; as noun: a transient; (b) her. of animals on a shield or coat of arms: in a walking posture; (c) surpassing, great, excellent.
