This is a railroad relic from the "Louisville, Evansville and St. Louis Railway" or "-Railroad" (1882-1889), i.e. from one of these:

Not an especially attractive piece of railroad memorabilia but a genuine one, from a small, short-lived pre-1900 railroad.

Nearest eBay comparable seems to be asking $12; other similar items are asking a 'buy-it-now' price or minimum bid of $15 - $30, with the usual eBay caveats (and some of them may not be as old or unusual). Suggest sending it to Antiques with an informative label, pricing it around $8 or even $10, and see what happens.
