The characteristic feature of the said apparatus, that is to say, the arrangement according to which the holder embraces the drill whilst its rear portion is spring mounted, is, in accordance with this invention, suitably modified to render it applicable for drilling at an angle by taking into account in the construciton of the apparatus the effect of reaction on the drill.
