Zera's Room: Notebook: Poetry

Emotions

When the words stop flowing through your lips
like blood congealing in a wound
And you find yourself pacing around the back of your
favorite coffee house
like a lion locked, restless, behind iron bars.
You feel a surge of delicately contained rage
a primitive lust to lash out.
To tell all...
To yell all...
Fight the emotion put them back in there place
struggle for the control you momentarily lost.

When the words stop flowing through your lips
like blood congealing in a wound
And you find yourself cowering in the corner of
your favorite coffee house
like a mouse trapped, terrified, in a glue trap
You feel a surge of suppressed fear
a primitive lust to cry out.
To tell all...
To yell all...
Calm the emotion put them back in their place
struggle for the control you momentarily lost

When you hate emotions
When you fear emotions
When you can no longer contain...

emotions.
