Zera's Room: Notebook: Poetry

The Great Clock

If you sit quietly enough in the early dawn you can hear the gears of giant clocks rumbling within the earth. In the time when most people are asleep in the depth of silence you can hear the earth open up and let the time out for the day and when everybody is working and busy bustling around if you stop and listen closely you can hear the soil sucking up the used time to be reused the next day. As the years pass by it seems that some of the time has been lost like there isnšt as much there as there once was. Even though things change, in the silence of an early dawn you can still hear the great gears grinding and the great clock ticking deep in the earth.
