A third example of solving the barotropic vorticity equation on a rotating sphere with a set of Lagrangian fluid particles and panels. In this computation, the remeshing procedure is combined with adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) to efficiently maintain accuracy out to long times, while still resolving the small scale features of the flow that develop.
