Bio


I am a graduate student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My research aims to increase the speed and improve the accuracy of 3D printers through insight from mechanical design and advanced control algorithms utilizing data-driven and analytical methods. I typically work with non-traditional configurations of 3D printers designed to achieve high accelerations, such as the delta and other robotic manipulators.

I host a podcast about grad school and research called "How to Do Grad School," where we talk with current and former grad students (e.g., professors, industry researchers, etc.) to learn how great researchers do their work, in hopes to improve our own research. I was also on the founding team of Ulendo, whose mission is to enable the fastest, best, and lowest cost 3D printing on the market.     I submitted a manuscript entitled "An Efficent Control-oriented Modeling Approach for Vibration-prone Delta 3D printers using Receptance Coupling" to the IEEE 17th International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering.

    I presented some research on "Data-Driven Control for High-Throughput Additive Manufacturing" in the MAE Future Leaders Seminar series.

    I submitted a manuscript entitled "Software Compensation of Undesirable Racking Motion of H-frame 3D Printers using Filtered B-Splines" to the Additive Manufacturing Journal.
