CEE 554: Data Mining in Transportation

The course covers topics in predictive data analytics where computers are enabled to learn hidden structures from data without being explicitly programmed. Topics include supervised (classification and regression), unsupervised, and probabilistic learning. Examples are drawn from the field of transportation systems.

CEE 557: Large-scale Transportation Systems Optimization

This course covers methods to solve large-scale optimization problems. Topics include a summary of mathematical programming and linear and non-linear optimization, network simplex, matching methods, max flow models, primal-dual methods, Bender's decomposition, Lagrangian optimization, column generation, Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition, and aggregation/disaggregation methods.
