The Thurston Chess Tournament will be Saturday, March 2nd, 2019. K-8 students in Ann Arbor are invited to play.

We have five sections so that less experienced players will have their own sections.
All sections, except section A are unrated.
Chess Sets will be provided for the afternoon sections (C, D, and E). All other players must bring a tournament board and pieces.
Players in sections A and B should bring tournament board, pieces and a clock if possible. Chess supplies (sets, clocks, software, etc) will be available for sale.
Lunch and snacks will be available on site. Concession profits support the Thurston PTO and chess club.

* Late check-ins will not be paired for the first round. Each new round will start as soon as all previous matches are over and new pairings have been determined.
** Early registration must be received by February 22nd. After that, please add $5 to the entry fee. No on-site registration is accepted. NO REFUNDS
