This
web document is adapted from a report by Thomas A. Edsall to the Thurston Nature
Center Committee, November 15, 2004.
The report
was developed for use as a stand-alone “briefing book” that could be presented
to the Ann Arbor School District
to encourage action to restore the health of the Thurston Pond ecosystem. The
PROBLEM STATEMENT and GOALS sections of this report were adapted from and closely
reflect the position of the TNCC, as stated in other earlier TNCC documents
on the subject of pond restoration.
