SPEECH RECOGNITION

This panel is to be found under the speech recognition section, level III. It provides a colorful scene to maneuver through as you place each phrase in the correct bubble of the conversation. This is the practice screen. To go on to the actual exercise, you press the green button with the arrow at the bottom of the page.

The best part about the practice screen is that you get a chance to record your voice and practice each phrase before going on to the exercise (where you will be asked to select and reproduce the correct phrase that fits in the conversation).

By clicking on the green mouth (first panel), you begin recording your voice. The fact that you are recording is indicated by the cursor changing into a microphone and the mouth turning red (second panel), and then you can listen to yourself (followed by the correct pronounciation in order for comparison) by clicking on the ear that appears after you have finished recording (third panel)
