Here I am, looking like I fell out of bed (which I really did, a mere hour before, and had to hit the ground running). I didn't think there could be an airport nastier than St. Louis, but Athens really takes the prize!

Greece is a goregous country, though. I really recommend it. Once you get into Athens though, escape out to the country as quickly as possible.

Here's a photo from Delphi, which is an ancient town percariously perched on the side of a mountain in north Greece (about a six hour bus ride to get to, but very much worth it). What you see here is the ancient Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, just downhill from the Oracle of Delphi.

The next stop on my European trip was Barcelona. The above picture is a view from one of the stone bridges that connects two of the Sagrada Familiar spires. It's been under construction for over 100 years, and probably has another 100 years left to go. But it's still a striking place to explore in person.

Here's a shot from the sidelines of the National Day parade in Oslo, Norway. Everyone dresses up in national costumes which represent what parts of the country they originally come from.

Since I didn't have lederhosen to dress up in (being non-Norwegian and all), I tried to get into the spirit of the occasion as best I could:

The last picture I managed to digitize is a monument that appears in the very center of Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm not sure who it memorializes, but it's very striking.
