While on the big round-the-world trip of 2002, I got to do my second visit to Australia!

People can climb the bridge in Sydney Harbor. I was all set to do this but my fear of heights got the better of me (plus nobody I knew in Australia thought going up this thing was sane, except me, and everyone knows I'm crazy).

These are the Three Graces in Katoomba (about an hour or 90 minutes southwest of Sydney). I did a second visit here as I was driving south towards Melbourne. These three pillars stand out next to a scenic lookout over a picturesque Grand Canyon-like valley.

On the road south between Sydney and Melourne you'll see the capital of Australia, Canberra. Here's a photo of the city's big shooting fountain.

This is the road that leads towards the end of Wilsons Promotory, a beautiful peninsula of land a few hours East of Melbourne. If I ever get back to visit Australia, this is where I want to spend a few days camping.

This is what Australia is famous for. The Koala bears!

And I took this photo at one of the rare moments when the little bears are actually awake. It seems like they pretty much sleep all day long except for a couple hours when they are eating. This reminds me of people who have a tight routine of sleep and work (certain computer scientists I know).
