What We Do

K-Motion is an all girls Korean Pop group at the University of Michigan. We are fun and energetic as we perform the most popular K-Pop songs. We perform at a variety of events on campus to express our passion for dance and Korean pop music. By performing these K-pop dance covers, we hope to spread awareness of current Korean popular culture to the University of Michigan campus. We practice about two times a week and range from 7-9 members depending on the semeter and auditions. If you are interested in joining K-Motion be on the look out for our Fall semester auditions!

Founding History

K-Motion was founded in Fall 2013 by 4 young ladies: Vanessa Lee, Grace Lee, Madeline Chu, and Jayne Liu. At the time they were all sophmores. These girls seeked for a new kind of K-pop dance group that could express the freedom to create and pick songs that suited their style of dance. K-Motion debuted as a group of 8 members at the Chinese Student Association's Lunar Ball event in Fall 2013. The group then slowly grew popularity over time, gaining a supportive fan base on campus.
