I am a graduate student in the Human Genetics Department at theMammary Gland University of Michigan, Ann Arbor working in the lab of Diane Robins.   My current research focuses on the role of the androgen receptor in mammary gland development and breast cancer.
The androgen receptor (AR) is known to be expressed at all stages of prostate cancer progression and plays an important role in this disease’s etiology.  AR is also expressed in most breast cancers. My research interests focus on how alterations in AR activity can affect cancer initiation and progression in both the breast and the prostate.
