When will you make a Windows version?

• Probably never. I spent quite a bit of time trying to do real-time effects in Windows and had absolutely no success. What it amounts to is, it takes pages of Windows code to replace single lines of Linux code, and it still doesn't work right. Microsoft has full-duplex effects demos that come with DirectX, but they have a latency of half a second or so and break if you shorten the buffer much further. Yep, 500 milliseconds. You hit a note, and it comes out half a second later. Perhaps there is a good way to do this stuff in Windows, so if anybody knows how, please let me know!
• What I'd really like to do is find some way to make a boot floppy and CD which would run a mini-linux and my program. I don't know how to do this, does anybody out there know how? It would need to carry some sort of generic X server that would run on most peoples video cards, and drivers for most suitable sound cards.
  

  This would mean, for the Windows users out there, that you'd just put a CD-ROM in, you'd put in a floppy, you'd reboot, and - ZAP - you'd be running ELE in Linux! Hopefully someday.
