On
something of a whim, but with one particular(paying) project in the back of
my mind, I bought a pocket joinery set-up. I guessed it might come out of
the box a couple times a year. I was wrong. It is possible I'm trying to justify
the expense, and there may be something of the "teach someone to use
a hammer and every problem becomes a nail" syndrome at work, but I've
found uses for this tool in just about every large project I've done.
Tool Review: If you haven't already got one of these, get one. There are a couple different models and manufacturers available. I opted for the Kreg kit you see in the photograph. From what I can tell from catalogs, they'll all do the job. But I would recommend a model that comes with a clamping unit like this one.
