The milling heads of most lathe/mill combination machines can be rotated out of the way when turning. If the lathe is mounted at the edge of a bench, it means they can be rotated out past the bench edge, making it possible to use them as a drill press for end boring longer boards than most drill presses will allow for.
It was the work of only a few minutes to make up this jig that clamps to the cross-feed table.
