"How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver. Proverbs XVI-16. Understanding this book is a way of life. It is a book of "Do" rather than "Don't" "Love the Lord thy God" "Love thy neighbour as thyself." "Love your enemies", "do good to them that hate you." "Be merciful." "Do unto other." "Seek truth and understanding." Christ taught with authority, "do these things" while the Jews commanded "Thou Shalt Not" If all would remember Proverbs XV-33 "before honour is humility" and Proverbs XXV-11 "a word fitly spoken is like apples of Gold in pictures of silver", I think many of the worlds problems would dissolve. While a picture has been said to be worth a 100 words, I feel a good deed is worth a life. The Lord is as close as our innermost thought, He can be reached at any moment we want Him. You can find the depth of a mans religion by whether he preaches or lives it. There is so much bad in the best of us and so much good in the worst of us, the Lord must have a hard time trying to choose His own. This book contains a key to riches far greater than gold; for in these pages one can find "Peace of Mind." With love and Best Wishes, from your Dad, G Austin.
